I just adore this passage. I found it on tumblr, and I want to share it on here with you. It's in Italian, below I tried to translate it as best as I could to English, hope you enjoy it :)

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I've been very busy! I've had come and visit from Italy last week, which was really nice, took him to visit Edinburgh and all. Then I've been busy organizing photo-shoots for both the Fashion show which is approaching, and another for the dance society campaign! So many things to do and so little time, on top of that I've got to keep up with all the academic work. Oh, wait. Actually, it should be the other way around, I should be busy doing my academic work and keeping up with all the things to organize... oh well, I'm not aiming to win the "perfect student" award anyway (^.^) ;)

Many people I know don't like check shirts (And this is counting both men and women) but I honestly don't see why because I love them for a casual wear, and there are so many varieties of colours which makes it even more exciting. Here I love how Cheryl and SJP have styled it, it looks great. Casual, comfortable without making you look like you're still wearing your PJ's ;)

I adore this! When I was a little girl I used to play loads with Barbies; I had the stable, the house, the pool, the hair dresser... haha I was also very possessive of my Barbies, I used to get so mad at those girls who cut the hair of their Barbies... I could not (And still don't!) understand how one could do that! Anyway.. enough of my little rant about Barbies and hair :P I just love the designs these Barbies (And their sketches) are wearing! Another retro editorial! I am loving it, reminds me of GREASE, one of my favourite movies! I had to sing "You're the one that I want" as Olivia Newton John for a school play when I was 9, of course the microphone didn't work so I started hitting it in the middle of the song instead of singing... it wouldn't be me if I didn't make a fool of myself ;) I'm proud to say that now I'm 21 and I've not changed much :P Still likely to make a fool of myself in public, hehe ;)

Today I feel spring in the air! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Scotland if only it were a little warmer I would love to wear an outfit out of these items here! For a casual/chic I would go for the knit top. The ruffled silk blouse is for a more romantic/chic look, which could be worn with the Elle Macpherson bra, which although is embroidered it would look nice under the blouse. I LOVE Bali. I really hope to see it one day, I don't even need (although, of course, I wouldn't mind) to stay in a resort like this, I'm happy with a small wooden hut! But, if you have the money this looks like the perfect romantic get-away especially with Valentine coming up! (Villas of the Viceroy Bali can be booked all year long for $600/night) Who wouldn't love to be in a place like this immersed in peace and nature with their beloved one? Exactly. But if like me you can't afford it at least we can enjoy these beautiful photographs and travel with our minds to this wonderful place and imagine what would be like to be there.... So here you go happy wandering ;)

Je suis tellement heureux de voir le retour de la mode des années 50-60 avec quelques touches modernes. C'était vraiment la meilleure époque où les femmes étaient des vrais femmes. Belles, élégantes, féminines et sensuelles. Je ne dis pas que les femmes d'aujourd'hui ne le sont pas, mais, elles ont perdu une sorte de vulnérabilité et de la douceur en voulont être trop égales aux hommes. I love Victoria's Secret. I love Barbara Palvin. And I love lingerie. So for me this is perfect! If I could I'd just buy lingerie and go around just in that all day, but I'm pretty sure it is not legally acceptable to catch a bus in nice underwear... :P Anyhow, what I also very much like about these photographs is that Barbara Palvin does not look like a stick as you would usually see in fashion magazines. She's perfect, curvy, sensual without seeing every bone of her anatomy. She looks healthy and beautiful!

How could one not adore Christian Dior, especially after seeing the new stunning haute couture collection for 2012! I'm in love with every single piece! Especially this first white one here... it's too beautiful!

Secret of the Desert

A while back I went on holiday to Egypt with my family, coming across through some of those photos now I thought I would share with you my beautiful adventure in this beautiful country. The landscape is just outstanding. Although on the first day there I had a very high temperature and spent the day in bed in my room, I soon recovered and was ready to try EVERYTHING! While there I went snorkeling through some amazing reefs, I swam with dolphins, road a quad in the desert, had tea in the desert made by the people who live there, I rode a camel, went water skiing and visited the "Doors of Allah" and many more beautiful places. Enough to say it was AMAZING. Here are some photographs for you to have a peek at :)
Oh, also, I bought a perfume there from a little artisan shop called "Secret of the Desert", which has become my favourite scent, probably also for its beautiful name!

There is a story behind this which is absolutely terrifying.. . Many people believed this crack in the land, filled with water, would lead to the sea. Thus a group of scuba divers attempted to go down and follow it till reaching it. Unfortunately, the first man to attempt this, got stuck half way through and there was no possibility to get him out anymore. He died down there. His colleagues left a metal stick at this entrance as a sign to not attempt to go there because in fact, it does get too narrow for people to get through.

Me and my mum driving through the desert, of course I was driving ;) So much fun!

The Boob. Don't laugh, this is actually what it's called apparently! No need to explain why ;)

If you had not yet noticed, I'm in love with anything which evokes the 50s/60s (or anything before that as well for that matter) so you will probably see why I find this editorial FABULOUS! Other than the badly photoshopped orange lips, everything is perfect, the shoes she's wearing with the pink dress... oh my!! I just want to wear EVERYTHING! :)

( - also, apologies for the lack of posts lately but I was under exams so I had to pretend to be a diligent student , but I'm done now! Had Spanish literature this afternoon and tomorrow going back home for a little before second semester starts :) - )

I love... no, what am I saying... I adore this editorial! Everything about it is perfect, the style, the context, the scenery, I want the life she seems to be having in this! There's one thing I have to admit about Louis Vuitton though, I've never been particularly keen on it, mainly the bags with the LV all over them and I think this is linked to the fact that back home in Italy, EVERYONE goes around with one of these bags acting snobbish and showing off, or carrying around big fakes they bought from the Chinese outside the station pretending to have one... I think back home I've just associated it negatively because of the use of these bags and how the people who carry them just do it to show off they have a LV bag. Because I prefer more subtle things, and not flaunting all over the place whether I can afford or not a LV (or any other brand) I think this has affected my whole view of the brand. Although now, after seeing these beautiful photographs... I may have to re-think about it... (I still have a negative feeling of the bags with LV all over them though.. sorry, I can't help it!). Is there a brand in your country which has had an effect like this? I know for example in the UK, Burberry has very much been associated with chavs and all that... thoughts?

Over Christmas I got some new shoes. Well, I got money for Christmas from my grandma, so I bought myself some gorgeous, magnificent shoes :) I love them, they're unbelievably comfortable and oh! so fashionable. If I had to pick between these and a man... I'd probably pick the... shoes, I'd got to bed with them on. (Sorry, what?!) Shh, don't tell anyone! I'm a woman after all, I can't help it... you know what I mean ;)

If you've not been, you should definitely go and I can promise you will fall in love, it has that "je ne sais quoi" as the French would say. You can also see my love for horses. Me and this little fellow here had an immediate connection, we were friends in less than a second ;)
